Our Story

What began as a small initiative in just 5 schools, supporting 100 girls with sanitary pads, has now grown into a movement impacting over 56 schools, 1,140 girls, and 400 boys. We recognized the urgent need for hygiene education and mentorship among school-going children, as well as the neglect faced by many elderly individuals in our communities. Through dedication and collaboration, we have expanded our reach, distributing not only sanitary pads but also tissue paper, socks, underwear, and other essential hygiene products.

More of our story – Transforming Lives Through Love and Action

At God’s Work International, our journey began with a simple but powerful vision: to restore dignity, hope, and opportunity to the most vulnerable in Murang’a County, Kenya. What started as a small act of kindness in February 2023 has blossomed into a movement touching thousands of lives.

How It All Began

We launched with just 5 schools and 100 girls, providing each with two packets of sanitary pads—a basic necessity many could not afford. The need was heartbreaking:

>> Girls missing school for days each month because they had no pads.
>> Boys wearing dirty and worn-out garmets, facing ridicule and infections.
>> Elderly men and women abandoned, struggling to find even one meal a day.

Since our inception, we have grown from supporting 5 schools (100 girls) to 56 schools (1,140 girls and 400 boys). We distribute sanitary pads, tissue paper, socks, underwear, and hygiene education materials to students. For the elderly, we provide food supplies and host annual December events to bring joy and care to their lives.

Our Partners: Rooted in the Community

At the heart of our mission is a deep collaboration with the very communities we serve. We believe that sustainable change happens when we work hand-in-hand with local leaders and institutions. While we are always open to new alliances, our current efforts are proudly powered by our strong relationships with:

· Local Schools: We work directly with teachers, administrators, and parent-teacher associations to identify needs and ensure that sanitary pads and underwear reach the students who need them most. Our partnerships with schools are crucial for keeping girls in class and all children comfortable and confident

· Community Leaders & Elders: Village chiefs, community organizers, and local elders guide us to the most vulnerable elderly citizens, ensuring our food assistance and nutritious flour from our grain mill is delivered with dignity and respect to those who are often hardest to reach.

· Neighborhood Volunteers: Dedicated individuals from within the community are the backbone of our distribution efforts. Their local knowledge and trust ensure our support is effective, culturally sensitive, and truly makes a difference.
