God's Work International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving lives through targeted humanitarian initiatives in Kenya, specifically in Murang’a County. Founded in February 2023, we focus on empowering young girls and boys through hygiene and mentorship programs while providing essential care and support to the elderly.
MoreFrom giving girls dignity through sanitary pads, to restoring hope for the elderly with food and care—your support creates real impact. Every act of kindness writes a new story of hope.
Be the MiracleFind answers to common questions about getting involved with our organization.
Our mission is to support the dignity, health, and educational opportunities of our community by providing essential items that are often out of reach for those in need. We focus on three key areas: distributing sanitary pads to schoolgirls to prevent period poverty and school absenteeism; providing new underwear to children; and offering food assistance to elderly individuals facing food insecurity.
We serve vulnerable groups within our community:
1. School-aged girls who lack access to adequate menstrual hygiene products.
2. Children living in poverty or crisis situations who experience underwear insecurity.
3. Elderly individuals who are struggling with hunger and malnutrition.
These are fundamental needs whose absence creates significant barriers:
1. Sanitary Pads: Without pads, girls often miss school during their periods, leading to lower academic performance and higher dropout rates.
2. Underwear: For children, lacking new underwear can affect dignity, confidence, and school attendance. It is a basic need that is rarely donated.
3. Food for the Elderly: Proper nutrition is critical for the health and independence of older adults, yet many are forced to choose between food and other necessities like medicine.
We distribute sanitary pads through partnerships with schools and community organizations. If you are a student, please reach out to a trusted teacher or school administrator to inquire about our program. Community organizations can contact us directly using the information on our About Us page.
We provide new underwear to children through our network of partner agencies, such as schools, shelters, and social service organizations. We do not distribute directly to individuals. Please contact a local social service agency or school counselor to access our resources.
Our food assistance program is unique because we provide nutritious,locally-milled flour from our own grain mill. We distribute this flour, along with other staple foods, through partner community centers and scheduled distribution events.
You can support our mission in several ways:
1. Financial Donations: Monetary contributions help us purchase supplies in bulk and operate our programs efficiently. Even a small donation can make a big impact.
2. In-Kind Donations: We accept specific new items. Please see our "Get Involved" page for our current needs and guidelines.
3. Volunteer: We rely on volunteers to sort, package, and help with distributions. Check our Get involved page for opportunities.
4. Spread the Word: Follow us on social media and share our mission with your network.
We accept the following new items in their original packaging:
1. Sanitary pads (all types)
2. Children's and teenagers' underwear (all sizes, for all genders)
3. Specific non-perishable food items suitable for elderly individuals (e.g., low-sodium canned goods, pasta, dried beans). Please see our "Current Needs" list in the Get involved page for details.
We cannot accept used underwear, opened packages, or expired food.
We are always looking to expand our reach through partnerships with schools, community centers, and other registered non-profits. If your organization works with our target beneficiaries, please contact us via our Get involved page. Please note that we cannot fulfill requests from individuals.
We are committed to transparency.A significant majority of every dollar donated goes directly toward our programs, supporting the costs of acquiring and distributing essential goods. We provide financial summaries and impact reports on our Full reports page to show our community how donations are making a difference.
